Funding success for PML

PML’s research funding success continues to increase, according to the Natural Environment Research Council’s (NERC) annual Research Organisation Success Rates table of 2013/14, rising from 39% in 2012/13 to 52%.

A total of over £4m was awarded to the south-west laboratory in the 2013/14 funding round and reflects PML’s upward trend in attracting funding from research councils, industry and business.

NERC funding analysis shows PML as 2nd in percentage success by value out of the UK organisations applying for over £1m from the Natural Environment Research Council’s research funding schemes, following the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas) which achieved 53% success by value.
