Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB 60)

The 60th session of the United Nations Climate Change Subsidiary Bodies (SB 60) will take place from 3-13 June 2024 at the World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany.

PML’s Professor Matt Frost and Thecla Keizer MSc will be taking part in the UN Bonn Climate Change meeting, SB 60, including with Professor Frost a Moderator for the breakout sessions of the mandated Ocean & Climate Change Dialogue scheduled for 11 and 12 June.

PML is also the lead coordintator of the side event titled Ocean-Climate-Society & Conventions: adaptation, mitigation, governance opportunities & challenges, scheduled for 11 June (10.15-11.30am, Room Berlin). It is widely recognised that achieving climate goals under UNFCCC requires efforts across conventions and the side event will see experts will identify & discuss opportunities, barriers & requirements concerning ocean issues & highlight examples where coordination of actions will benefit the achievement of common goals.
