Plymouth Marine Laboratory – Engagement Stand
Plymouth Marine Laboratory will be hosting a stand focused on ocean connectedness, the emotional connection between humans and the ocean. We will present research from: SEACO, which explores social-environmental attitudes and connections to the ocean; ProBleu, which aims to enhance Ocean and Water Literacy by expanding the Network of European Blue Schools, supporting the EU Mission 'Restore our Oceans and Waters'; and MSPACE, which is supporting the UK nations in the development and implementation of ‘Climate-Smart Marine Spatial Planning”. Our stand will also feature an interactive game called 'Smell of the Sea,' where participants can smell native seaweeds and rate their scent. You will also have the opportunity to speak with PML staff, learn more about our research, and discover what a career in science could involve. Based at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre, in the Waterside Room.
