Richard Bellerby

I arrived at PML in 1990 as a PhD student and returned as a research associate in 1998 before transferring to Norway, maintaining close scientific collaboration on EU projects. I am currently Chief Scientist at the Norwegian Institute for Water Research, Bergen, Norway, Director of the SKLEC-NIVA Centre for Marine and Coastal Research, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China and Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Applied Sciences, UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I became a trustee in 2024 and look forward to using my extensive research experience in climate and ocean change issues and transfer at the science-policy nexus.
