22-27 February will see the UK host the Ocean Sciences Meeting (OSM), a unique biennial gathering which sees around 6,000 scientists and ocean experts from across the globe come together to share the latest research findings, collaborate on solutions, and make lasting partnerships with the goal of advancing scientific knowledge and impacts.
Many of PML’s marine experts are contributing to the conference, of which close to 30 will take part in person. You can find them speaking at or leading sessions and meetings, presenting posters, engaging with delegates in various events and on the exhibition stand (number 38). The latter is a Marine Research Plymouth Alliance initiative, of which PML is a founding partner.
The OSM is co-sponsored by the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), and The Oceanography Society (TOS) and was launched in 1982. It is an Endorsed Decade Action program with the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
