Alexandra Rowe

With a degree in Chemistry from the University of Plymouth, I have built a strong foundation in scientific analysis, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. My career began in laboratory based roles as an analytical chemist within the pharmaceutical and medical industries. I developed extensive experience in analytical testing, laboratory operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in highly regulated environments.

As my career progressed, I combined laboratory work with leadership responsibilities as a Quality Control Lead, overseeing quality processes while supporting operational efficiency and compliance within the laboratory. This experience gave me a great understanding of both the technical and quality focused aspects of scientific work.

In my current role as Quality Compliance Officer at Plymouth Marine Laboratory, I draw on this background to support robust quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the organisation. I’m passionate about upholding high standards and helping ensure that work is delivered with integrity, quality, and excellence across PML.
