Ocean and Human Health International Conference

The Portuguese National Committee for the United Nations Ocean Decade will host the international conference “Ocean and Human Health” on 11–12 December 2025 in Lisbon.

The event will explore the links between ocean and human health, highlighting both benefits and risks, and will bring together experts from marine sciences, medicine, health and social sciences, alongside policymakers, private sector representatives and civil society organisations. PML’s Head of the International Office Prof Matt Frost and Merit Remote Sensing Scientist Professor Shubha Sathyendranath MBE will be speaking.
