The 7th ICES/PICES Zooplankton Production Symposium will be held in Hobart, Australia, 17-22 March 2024. The Symposium will consist of plenary presentations, parallel sessions and workshops covering a wide range of zooplankton research. This conference will be held in person only due to time zone challenges and to encourage face to face networking following an 8 year gap between Symposia.

We’re pleased to say that our Dr Angus Atkinson will be giving a keynote talk Monday 18th at the symposium on ‘New dawn fades – Returning to dark data during a zooplankton technology revolution’,
Professor Pennie Lindeque and Dr Matthew Cole are convenors of the session on ‘Interactions between zooplankton and pollution in a changing ocean’, Elaine Fileman is a co-convenor of the poster session ‘Get it from the image: In situ imaging and spatially detailed observations of zooplankton for ecosystem studies’ with other PML staff members involved in various further activities.
