Investing in our blue planet: New 1-minute survey to understand the finance and investment of blue carbon ecosystems
01 October 2025
We’re sharing a brand-new mini survey – just 5 multiple choice questions, taking 1 minute to complete – which aims to capture insights from anyone involved in private finance for blue carbon conservation or restoration in Europe.

You can take part in the survey here >>
Blue carbon ecosystems (BCEs) such as mangroves, seagrass meadows, coastal marshes and seaweed systems play a crucial role in carbon storage and climate regulation. Yet, there is still much to learn about how private investment supports their conservation and restoration.
The C-BLUES project seeks to enhance knowledge and understanding of Blue Carbon Ecosystems (BCEs), including emerging BCEs like natural and farmed kelp systems, and increase BCE inclusion in national greenhouse gas inventories and reporting under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Plymouth Marine Laboratory and partners from the EU Horizon C-BLUES project invite any person of any sector involved in private finance for blue carbon conservation or restoration across Europe to take part in the Blue Pulse 1-minute survey.
The 1-minute survey aims to capture insights from anyone involved in private finance for blue carbon conservation or restoration. Your anonymous participation will help strengthen knowledge, guide decision-making, and shape future opportunities in blue carbon finance across Europe.
