Getting here
By road
The A38 Devon Expressway links Plymouth to the motorway network at Exeter, giving a drive time from London of around 4.5 hours.
By rail
There is a regular service direct from London Paddington which takes about 3.5 hours. Other direct services run from South Wales, the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland. PML is a 20 minute walk from the train station or 8 minutes by taxi.
By air
The closest airport to Plymouth is Exeter International airport (approximately an hour on the train to Plymouth, nearest station Exeter St. Davids), which services much of the UK and offers selected international flights. Bristol airport is approximately 2.5 hours by train (Bristol Temple Meads nearest train station) to Plymouth and offers a wider selection of international flights. For a full range of international flights, the London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Luton and Stansted) are between 3.5 and 5 hours from Plymouth by train
By sea
Brittany Ferries operate roll-on, roll-off ferries to Plymouth from Roscoff in France and Santander in northern Spain.
