Lee Merchant

Lee joined PML in 2019, and is our Head of Infrastructure, Facilities & Services responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership and oversight of PML’s infrastructure, facilities, and operational services, ensuring resilient, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations that enable scientific excellence, organisational sustainability, and long-term growth. As part of this role, Lee oversees Estates and Facilities, IT, Ship Services, Science Facilities, health & safety, business continuity, and future workspace planning.

Lee has a keen interest in environmental improvement projects and has contributed towards PML winning multiple awards in relation to ‘greening’ projects delivered since 2019, most notably the solar carport, which was the largest of its kind in Devon when installed.
