An innovative and results led international affairs & marketing professional with over 24 years of experience in both the private and public sector. 

In her current role at PML she is focused on delivering effective engagement and profile raising with PML’s stakeholders, and is PML’s Focal Point with the UNFCCC, IPBES and CBD. She sits on the Advisory Committee of PML Applications, PML's trading subsidiary, and for many years before this was active on PML Applications' Executive Committee. Before joining the International Office as its Deputy Head she was PML's Head of Marketing. 

Thecla has been instrumental in PML’s engagement with the UNFCCC COP (2009 onwards) and the early introduction of an international ocean acidification partnership’s presence at the convention. She is a co-founder of the first Virtual Ocean Pavilion at COP26 (over 4,000 registrations at COP27) and secured PML as partner in the first Ocean Pavilion at COP27 (central ocean hub in the blue zone with over 60 events).

Some further examples of her activities include coordinating PML’s presence at the UN Ocean Conferences (SDG14; 2017, 2022), confirming PML as the first marine partner of the Source-to-Sea Action Platform and UN Water Conference (SDG6, 2022) side event partner. Closer to home she sits on the UK Universities & Research Centres Climate Network - International Working Group and plays active roles on Marine Research Plymouth partnership committees.

She has an MSc in Marketing where she focused on relationship management in her dissertation, in particular concerning the marine science sector.
