Known as the world’s leading forum for ocean science, engineering and technology, Oceanology International (OI26) will take place in London from 10–12 March 2026, bringing together more than 8,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors from over 80 countries.
PML’s experts will be contributing across the programme – both as conference panellists and through direct engagement with delegates there from a broad range of sectors such as offshore renewables, ocean observation, defence, maritime security, ports, oil & gas, aquaculture and subsea technologies.
PML’s Professor James Fishwick and Professor Matthew Palmer will be speaking as part of the OI26 conference programme, discussing in-water test facilities for dual-use as well as the future of uncrewed vessels and vehicles, sharing insights aligned with the event’s commitment to advancing knowledge, innovation and collaboration. The conference will highlight the latest developments shaping future ocean technologies and the ocean economy, with content focused on improving strategies for exploring, protecting and sustainably managing the world’s oceans and waterways.
PML, together with PML Applications, is proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the UK National Centre for Marine Autonomy (NCMA) Pavilion, which will be officially launched at OI26, showcasing cutting-edge marine autonomy capability. Located on stand 400, the NCMA unites world-class research, industry and government partners to deliver next generation uncrewed and autonomous marine systems, supporting the full value chain from concept and testbeds to deployment and scaling.
PML’s Professor Tim Smyth and PML Applications’ Sam Fawcett will deliver presentations on the stand, including on Smart Sound Plymouth, the UK’s leading testing facility for marine autonomy, uncrewed systems, and advanced ocean technologies, led by PML. Smart Sound Plymouth is a catalyst for maritime solutions and innovation backed by decades of expertise across defence, offshore industries, and marine science.
James, Matthew, Tim and Sam together with other colleagues and looking forward to connecting with the OI26 delegates throughout the event. To find out more and how to join the event please visit:
