Resilient Coasts, Thriving Communities: A Sea of Solutions, scheduled to take place in Kochi, Kerala, India, on 18-19 August 2025.
Dr Sevrine Sailley is a speaker for the session on Sustainable fisheries and this high-level forum titled: Aquaculture at the Resilient Coasts, Thriving Communities: A Sea of Solutions by the Asian Development Bank in partnership with the Government of India and the Kerala State Government.
The forum will convene leaders and experts across sectors, and from all India maritime states and union territories, to explore innovative approaches to strengthening climate resilience and supporting the sustainable development of India’s coastal regions. Discussions will center on best practices, innovative solutions, and inclusive strategies for coastal management and resilience.
Dr Sailley is a senior marine ecosystem modeller at Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML) and has been leading on PML’s Science to Impact Challenge Area towards improving the sustainability of fisheries and aquaculture. She Chairs the Working Group on Integrative, Physical-biological and Ecosystem Modelling with the intergovernmental marine organization the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).
